My teacher Mende Ryuzan and I performing the premier of "Heiwa Jishi" in 2024.
This piece was performed at his "farewell concert", a big show celebrating his career as a shakuhachi player. At his request, I wrote this piece for the event. It felt like a huge responsibility, but was also a wonderful experience for me.
